A transition section spurious mode program is presented to calculate the magnitude and phase of propagating modes in H-plane waveguide transition sections with large flare angles. This program is based on a full wave analysis which employs local radial waveguide modes. This program is particularly suitable when some of the waveguide modes change from propagating to evanescent modes in the transition sections.
