A decoupling-compensation technique used to break the three-phase coupled power system model into three sequence-decoupled models is proposed. With such a decoupling, positive-, negative- and zero-sequence system models can be solved simultaneously. By combining these models with the well-known Newton–Raphson or fast-decoupled algorithms, two novel methods used for asymmetrical three-phase load flow study are established. Based on these the synchronous parallel algorithm can then be employed and the corresponding software used for this purpose can be implemented onto a multiprocessor system. The validity of the proposed methods is verified and the computation results are analysed herein.
