The explicit consideration of a communication channel model in a feedback control loop is known to introduce a fundamental limitation on the feedback control loop stabilisability in the form of a channel signal-to-noise ratio lower bound whenever the plant model is unstable. In this study, the authors study these type of limitations subject to model uncertainties, either from the plant model or the channel model. They consider the discrete-time setting, motivated first by the fact that some form of discretisation is nowadays always required when implementing a feedback control loop solution, and second by the fact that communication channel models are more naturally represented in discrete time. In particular, they consider here the additive coloured noise channel with memory.
