A variable gain amplifier (VGA) topology utilising titanium dioxide (TiO2) memristors is presented. The circuit is analysed based on recently published charge-controlled and voltage-controlled memristor models. The analysis includes a theoretical prediction of total harmonic distortion for the amplifier as a figure of merit. The theoretical results are supported with SPICE circuit simulation including a memristor macromodel.
