Counterfeit goods are flooding the world's markets today. Thousands of revenues are lost through sales of illegally-produced goods according to government estimates. Fake products includes alcohol, banknotes and drugs. These products are not only harmful to health but also to economy. With such situations, covert technologies has been deployed such as taggant authentication solutions which includes laser marking and RFID to identify and distinguish genuine products and brands from counterfeit products.
