Exact closed-form expressions are obtained for the steady-state behaviour of a discrete-time system consisting of a buffered wireless link with correlated Bernoulli faults, serving a correlated Bernoulli frame source of the same peak bandwidth. A simple asymptotic approximation is then given for the QoS dimensioning of the link buffer requiring only the summary statistics for source and link behaviours.

Inspec keywords: approximation theory; discrete time systems; radio links; correlation methods

Other keywords: correlated faults; Bernoulli faults; buffered wireless link; steady-state behaviour; QoS dimension; asymptotic approximation; discrete-time analysis
