A design concept to reduce the overall dimensions of a microstrip antenna using a wrapped radiating structure and embedded slits is proposed. A compact microstrip antenna for SDARS (satellite digital audio radio services) systems is designed and manufactured with light weight and compact size. Comparision between simulations by Ansoft HFSS software and measurement is provided.
