An efficient means to reduce energy consumption for NAND flash memory is to decrease the erasing count in the file system. JFFS2 is open-source and a Linux flash file system. Based on JFFS2, allocation and erasing policies are proposed which can effectively reduce the erasing count to reach the energy-economic purpose. According to experimental results, the proposed methodology can reduce energy consumption to 49% JFFS2.
