Contention resolution of grouped-wavelength-paths is successfully demonstrated using polarisation-independent multichannel wavelength conversion in a QPM-LN waveguide and 8×8 planar lightwave circuit matrix-switching. The function is confirmed using wavebands composed of 8 channel×10 Gbits/s transmitted through field-installed fibres in the JGN II test bed.
