The outage probability of a selection combining diversity scheme in correlated lognormal fading channels is derived [3]. Specifically, the authors approximate the correlation matrix by a Green's matrix, which has a tridiagonal inverse. An iterative integration technique is then used to evaluate the outage probability accurately. The result is sufficiently general to cover an arbitrary number of diversity branches and an arbitrary correlation among the diversity branches. Computer simulation is performed to validate the accuracy of our analysis.
