A novel method for the detection of linear decalibration of sensors is proposed. The presence of a fault is indicated as a change in the mean of a white noise sequence. A simulation example is described which shows the success of the technique.

Inspec keywords: fault diagnosis; sensors; white noise; calibration

Other keywords: white noise sequence; sensor decalibration detection; linear decalibration; asymptotic local approach; fault indication

Subjects: Sensing and detecting devices; Sensing devices and transducers; Measurement standards and calibration; Measurement standards and calibration
