Polyphase Barker sequences are finite-length, uniform complex sequences; the magnitudes of their aperiodic autocorrelation sidelobes are bounded by 1. Polyphase Barker sequences with lengths up to 45 and alphabet sizes up to 120 are presented, which are found using a stochastic optimisation procedure.

Inspec keywords: optimisation; correlation theory; binary sequences

Other keywords: alphabet size; stochastic optimisation procedure; finite-length uniform complex sequences; polyphase Barker sequences; aperiodic autocorrelation sidelobes

Subjects: Information theory; Optimisation techniques; Codes
