A mixer-free, all-digital quadrature demodulation method is proposed. This method performs direct second-order sampling on the bandpass signal, and produces quadrature basebands by passing the samples through phase shifters. Mixers are eliminated. This method has more freedom to select mixer-free sampling frequencies than methods based on first-order sampling.
