Radiation elements, designated as rhombic hula hoop antennas, are proposed for circularly polarised antennas. The current distribution, radiation pattern and axial ratio are analysed. By selecting the loop configuration, an axial ratio bandwidth (≤2 dB) of ~10% and gain of ~10 dBi are obtained.
