The fabrication of domain inversion in LiTaO3 at room temperature by injecting Si2+ ion into the +c face is presented. A first-order periodic domain inversion with 50% duty cycle and depth of 0.3mm was realised. Using this structure, 22.8 μW of blue light was generated for a conversion efficiency of 20%/Wcm2.
