A new end-fire helical superdirective array configuration is described that achieves both height and length reduction but does not need a corporate feed. Computations and measurements illustrate the sensitivity of the array directivity and efficiency to geometric changes for significant electrical size reductions. Possible applications and the use of superconducting elements are discussed.
