The Letter reports the results of investigations on aperture-fed rectangular and triangular shaped dielectric resonators for use as magnetic-dipole antenna elements. Measured results show that both antennas have a large bandwidth (>10%) and their far field patterns are similar to that of a magnetic dipole.
