A new scheme for storing and retrieving analogue signals very efficiently and inexpensively using the recently developed concept of multistate resonant-tunnelling devices is described. Simulation results on a design of the scheme using four-state devices are presented. Successful simulation indicates extension of the scheme to decimal cells using 10-state devices.
