All existing uniform filter banks have integer decimation or interpolation rates. The Letter presents a novel polyphasematrix- FFT structure that is capable of a rational conversion rate. This structure can combine sampling rate conversion and demultiplexing in multicarrier demodulators, leading to a significant reduction in computation rates, especially for clock-synchronous systems.
