A matched filter circuit for a rectangular pulse system is presented. It is composed of two transversal filter sections. Owing to its simplicity it is attractive for Gbit/s signal processing. Frequency response and time domain measurements of the realised filter are given.

Inspec keywords: cascade networks; frequency response; digital communication systems; matched filters; active filters

Other keywords: Gbit/s applications; matched filter circuit; transversal filter sections; rectangular pulse system; time domain measurements; signal processing

Subjects: Active filters and other active networks
