A new low-loss narrowband SAW filter that uses one pair of electrically connected IDTs with an optimum number of fingers, as well as SAW reflectors, is described. A miniature filter with a loss as low as 2 dB and a bandwidth of 0.7% at 90 MHz is presented. The filter is mounted in a TO-8 package and is usable without any outer inductors.
