%X The response of transducers with arbitrary polarity sequences can be expressed simply, allowing for electrostatic neighbour effects, by using as an element factor the charge distribution obtained for excitation of one electrode. New calculations of this element factor are presented for a range of metallisation ratios. Treating interelectrode gaps as elementary sources gives an element factor which is less dependent on frequency.
