A circuit is described that multiplies the frequency of a sinusoidal signal by a factor of 3 (and even of 5) yet maintains the input/output amplitude ratio strictly constant over a large range. A special translinear configuration was designed and used, together with commercially available analogue multipliers, to build the circuit. Experimental measurements are presented to illustrate its interesting performance.
