A new very simple circuit for complex predistortion of r.f. signals is described. It uses an r.f. bridge with equal electrical lengths and a nonlinear component. The principle of operation is that the signal and the nonlinearities are put into opposite phase. This allows one to linearise the following stages as amplifiers, upconvertors etc. Theoretically, the distortions can be cancelled completely. This principle operates over an extended dynamic range.
