A slow nondispersive antisymmetric flexural wave is tightly bound to the apex of a wedge. An acoustic convolver, which takes advantage of its characteristics to enhance efficiency, is described. It is demonstrated that wedge waves can be generated and tapped using photolithographically defined transducers.
