A class of multiaxis radial circuits for optimised performance of transferred-electron devices is presented. Nearly octave bandwidth c.w. amplification occurred with one configuration in preliminary tests. Extensive pulsed l.s.a. tests in the range 2–8 GHz have been made with another configuration, yielding the full efficiency expected from theory.
