The letter discusses some properties of the probability-density function of waveforms obtained by summation of digits in an n-stage shift register which is generating an msequence of period 2n – 1 for m>n. The dependence of the function, not only on n and m but also on the particular msequence chosen, is demonstrated by a specific example.
