Radio-refractive-index data covering a period of 17 months have been computed from meteorological captive-balloon soundings made regularly at Cardington, near Bedford, England. This letter describes the format of the data, which may be of interest to radiometeorologists and others concerned with the propagation of radio waves through the troposphere.

Inspec keywords: measurement by electrical methods; refractive index; optical variables measurement; radiowave propagation; atmospheric electromagnetic wave propagation

Subjects: Lower atmosphere; Radiowave propagation
