In the presence of pointing errors, an iterative doubly constrained robust Capon beamformer is proposed. Based on the coarse estimation of the desired signal direction mismatch factor, the approach can update the estimated desired steering vector through iterative computations with small uncertainty set, and does not need any crucial preselected parameters which are unavoidable in some existing robust adaptive beamformers. The proposed approach can effectively deal with a wide range of pointing errors.
