Introduced is a technique to localise data-dependent electromagnetic emanations among the overall circuit emanations. Locating areas characterised by data-dependent electromagnetic emissions is particularly interesting to localise specific digital blocks such as cryptographic co-processors among the noise emanations generated by the rest of the circuit. It is also interesting to efficiently position small magnetic loops used to perform differential or correlation electromagnetic analysis.
