This is the second in a series of articles which will be of interest to anyone building their own interfaces for BBC Model Bs, Masters or Archimedes for datalogging or control. The first article, which appeared in the Summer 1991 issue of Electronics Education, dealt with the Archimedes printer port and provided some guidelines on writing a simple software program. This article offers some pointers on protecting your computer and discusses conditioning analogue inputs and analogue input software.
