While the technology has been around for some time, the convergence of content and communications in the home has not yet happened. The reason has more to do with user behavior and market dynamics than the technology itself. As devices become more powerful, they open up the potential for convergence. The opportunities for implementing convergence may be growing as fast as the market can absorb them, and so it may be some time yet before we see a truly converged world.
