IET Conference & Seminar Publications

The IET organises a range of international conferences, seminars and exhibitions each year. The conferences cover all aspects of electrical, electronic, manufacturing and systems engineering, and related sciences. Seminar publications and digests are collections of condensed information relating to presentations at IET colloquia and seminar events, and are sometimes in the form of speakers' hand-outs or copies of the slide show presentation. Proceedings from the conferences are published after each event.

      • The standing International Conference on Mechanical System Dynamics (ICMSD) aims to systematically reveal the vital effect of mechanical system dynamics on the whole lifecycle of modern industrial equipment, including the design, manufacturing, testing, evaluation, and utilization. It serves as a standing international forum for promoting the extensive and in-depth academic exchange on mechanical system dynamics. The standing ICMSD is jointly initiated and organized by more than 20 famous universities from more than 10 countries. It will be held every two years in different countries in and out of China in rotation. The 1st ICMSD, which was originally planned to be held in November 2021, was held in person and online synchronously during August 24-27 2022, in Nanjing, China. The theme of this conference is: promote the capabilities of mechanical system dynamics, upgrade the modern science, technology, and industry. It was hosted by the Nanjing University of Science and Technology, the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, the International Association of Applied Mechanics, the John Wiley and Son, Inc., the CSLD and the International Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics. It was co-hosted by 35 universities and institutes and supported by 17 sponsors including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and China Association for Science and Technology. The 1st ICMSD has received 422 submissions, and 315 presentations from more than 10 countries have been given online and on-site. About 2000 participants from more than 20 countries joined the activities. Among them, there were many top leading scientists including 29 Members of National Academy of Science/Engineering, 13 presidents of international academic societies, and 15 editors-in-chief of international journals. A number of advanced scientific achievements have emerged in the conference, which will promote the progress of modern science, technology and industry. The ICMSD has become a broad and vibrant international science club and academic exchange platform for improving the research and development capability of modern science, technology, and industry and enhancing the performance of mechanical systems. The conference will be a milestone in the development history of mechanical system dynamics.
