  • In recent years, China has been developing ACDC transmission technologies and projects to improve its own supply and satisfaction the vast distance transmission requirements of the power sector. The IET ACDC is a long established and highly respected international conference on AC and DC power transmission which is co-organized with Tsinghua University and supported by various organizations both in China and abroad. The 16th edition was held on 02-03 July 2020 virtually with around 400 delegates participated and over 5000 public viewers online. Power Transmission and Distribution System: Electromagnetic transient, electromagnetic environment, lightning protection, grounding of AC/DC transmission and distribution; UHV AC technology and recent projects; FACTS technology and recent projects; and Planning, modelling, computation, operation and maintenance of AC/DC transmission and distribution system. New Technology: Power semiconductors for AC/DC system; New materials for power transmission and distribution; AC/DC system for clean energy and energy storage, Wireless power transmission; and Novel technology of power transmission and distribution.
