The probability of sudden failure or uncertain failure in the operation of the nuclear power plant(NPP) increases with the increase of service time, which increases the risk of operation safety in the middle and later life of the nuclear power plant. In order to improve the safety of the operation in the middle and later life of the nuclear power plant, the main factors affecting the operation safety in the middle and later life of the nuclear power plant are analyzed and studied. On this basis, the systematic scheme and measures to ensure the safe operation of the nuclear power plant are put forward. The program includes laws and standards, equipment performance monitoring and management, equipment aging management, equipment maintenance management, equipment life management, plant operation management, fault handling plan management, human factors management, regular safety inspection and nuclear safety supervision and management, etc. This study provides guidance for the supervision and management of the operation safety in the middle and late life of nuclear power plant, and provides a foundation for further in-depth study of the operation safety in the middle and late life of nuclear power plant.
