Pure with the increase in the death toll due to accidents especially on highways due to drowsiness or tiredness of the driver who doesn’t take an interval after some period of driving, today’s transport system needs a smart alerting system of the driver’s condition when he/she is about to drowse. This paperproposes an alerting system when the driver is about to drowse and get into the first cycle of sleep. In this proposal, we used a web-camera connected to a Raspberry Pi which uses Python as the main coding language along with the help of Open CV which sends an alert message to the nominal person.
