The paper studied on the electromagnetic vibration of a propulsion PMSM equipped on an AUV. Firstly, electromagnetic field model, modal model and transient response model are established to analyze the electromagnetic vibration using FEA; Then optimization intended to reduce vibration is introduced. At last the vibration response after optimization is calculated. The result shows that after optimization, the motor’s vibration is reduced.
