The control of coating thickness is of great significance to the manufacture of solar cell array with cold bonding technology. In view of the large area of solar cell array, the fragility of solar cells, the low efficiency of manual mounting, and the poor uniformity of coating thickness, this paper designs the system of auto-mounting for space solar cell arrays based on the screen printing. According to the new auto-mounting process, this paper designed system platform of mechanical system, pneumatic system, control system and software system, realized automatic integration of grabbing, gluing, mounting and pressurizing cell modules, and finished the work to auto-mount solar cell modules on the baseboard. This paper proposes the mathematical theoretical model of coating thickness, and the reliability of the model is verified by experiments, which provides a theoretical basis for the application of the auto-mounting system based on screen printing in engineering.
