In the test of superimposing the impulse voltage under the action of the DC voltage, in order to protect the DC voltage generator from being damaged by the impulse voltage, a special resistance element needs to be designed to be installed in the test circuit to protect the DC generator. In this paper, through simulation calculations, the resistance value of the protective resistor in the DC superimposed impulse voltage test circuit and the structure of the terminal grading ring are selected and optimized. The results show that under the maximum 900kV DC superimposed 1800kV operation or 2400kV lightning impulse voltage The protection resistor is 800kΩ, which can meet the role of protecting the DC voltage generator in the test circuit. The high-voltage end of the protection resistor is equipped with a voltage equalizing ring with a ring diameter of 2700mm, a pipe diameter of 250mm, and a cover depth of 500mm, which can significantly improve the protective resistance potential and electric field Distribution to prevent flashing of the external resistance of the protective resistor.
