Radio frequency identification is the means by which an electronic device makes the contents of its memory store known on request to a second device. RFID tag provides greatly improved security to magnetic swipe cards or magnetic tickets. They are harder to re-use, clone, and counterfeit and offer better functionality and durability. However, threats are unavoidable in the system. Just be aware of these threats, assess the risk for each given application and weigh the cost/risk benefits for the available solutions.
