A research group at the University of Salford in partnership with NORWEB Communications, is involved in an EPSRC funded programme investigating the use of multimedia systems and modern telecommunications to enhance companies' customer service provision. The way organisations interact with their customers is key for success. Modern telecommunications systems offer the opportunity to exploit multimedia to deliver a whole new range of interactive on-demand services, directly to the customer within their own premises and at a time most convenient to them.
