An approach for the online implementation of robust Capon beamforming (RCB) approach based on the explicit modeling of uncertainties in the desired steering vector is proposed. The RCB approach is based on the idea of maximizing the beamformer output power under an uncertainty set constraint on the desired steering vector. This problem is easily solved using a scaled projection algorithm in this paper. Computer simulations demonstrate that the proposed method can provide excellent performance to achieve robustness against steering vector mismatches. (4 pages)
