In this paper, we present a new scheme for accounting in the context of one kind of new communication network called vector network (VN). As we all know, in Internet protocol (IP) network, asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) network, and other networks, some traditional schemes for accounting have been in use. However, various disadvantages have been observed in the appliance process of such traditional schemes. Furthermore, hardly could they meet the need of increasing complicated and sophisticated networks for the reason that most of those schemes are, to some extent, simplified approaches for accounting. Based on thorough analysis and comprehension to such schemes for accounting applied in nowadays networks, this paper proposes a new one, which is originally designed for VN.
