For digital AM broadcast we investigate the possibility of using multicarrier-code division multiplex (MC-CDM) that is combined with multilevel codes based on Reed Solomon codes. Both lower bounds and simulation results for a low complexity receiver are given.
Inspec keywords: quadrature amplitude modulation; multiplexing; Reed-Solomon codes; code division multiple access; signal detection; digital simulation; modulation coding; digital audio broadcasting; radio receivers; equalisers
