The results presented in this paper compare the electron density profiles determined from inverting oblique ionograms with those derived from a vertical ionosonde and ionospheric tomography. These comparisons are made in order to assess the viability of incorporating vertical information derived from oblique sounders into the tomographic reconstruction process.
