Results of field-strength predictions have been compared with wide-band measurements in the 1.5 GHz band (1452-1492 MHz) in two DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) single frequency networks of the German Telekom AG. The IRT-method is capable to predict not just a median value of the total received power at the reception site but also the location variation of the power and echo delay profiles. Results in mountainous terrain and in urban areas are presented. This paper also describes the IRT prediction method and the measurements, discusses the results and the applicability of the model.
