The problem of input-output decoupling of singular systems via proportional plus derivative (PD) feedback is solved. The necessary and sufficient condition for the problem to have a solution is established. A special feedback law resulting directly front the system matrices is derived. The general explicit formula of all PD state feedback controller matrices solving the problem is determined.
