The dielectric properties of biological tissues are vital in the design and optimisation of electromagnetic medical technologies. In recent studies, dielectric data is typically collected using the open-ended coaxial probe method. Initially, this technique appears simple and straightforward. However, in order to achieve accurate, repeatable, and interpretable data, it is crucial to report the metadata along with the dielectric data itself. In this work, we discuss the minimum types of metadata required to achieve this aim. This minimum reporting standard supports the goal of attaining accurate dielectric data of biological tissues as a foundation for medical device development.
