The present article aims to analyze and evaluate how simple harmonic vibration influences the behavior of mechanical face seals of aero-engine pump. The purpose of this study is to provide a practical design method for engineering development. A dynamic model is developed to examine how dynamic parameters such as stiffness, damping and the frequency of simple harmonic vibration affect the leakage of mechanical face seals. Through the finite difference method and NewMark-β method show the validity of the dynamic model.
