This paper provides an overview of how London Underground has designed and implemented a real time condition monitoring system for train system assets. An overview of the in house design process explains the importance of extensive end user consultation and the benefits of adopting an agile approach. The intuitive user interface and method of imparting asset knowledge are explained. The benefits of implementing a data driven maintenance approach are detailed including improved system reliability and cost savings.
